Big Bend

March 3 - 7 based out of Terlingua, in Big Bend, Texas!

Join us with special teacher guest Tony Maples under the epic dark skies of Big Bend, Texas! At below 30 latitude we are much further South here which means we can capture both the Winter Milky Way (like Orion!) and the Spring/Summer Milky Way as both clear the horizon significantly earlier in March than higher latitudes. Big Bend has some of the darkest night skies in the country, and perhaps even the world! The dry climate gives us the highest chances of clear skies in the country, especially during the 2027 El Nino oscillation. Mix the dark skies with some incredible geology and the remote location, this photo tour feels like you’ve been transported to another world which we find very conducive to creativity. Big Bend is one of the most coveted spots in the country for astrophotography and we handle all the planning and accomodations so you can show up and focus your energy on enjoying the natural beauty, learning astrophotography from two experts, and creating memories and art with a group of like-minded adventurers and photographers!
