luminous labyrinths
December TBD New Zealand
Join Derek Culver and Tom Rae in the underground limestone river systems of New Zealand capturing millions of webs of bioluminescent Glow Worms! Working closely with private farms and cave systems, we will have exclusive access to the world’s most spectacular grottos and tunnels where we will teach you the art of capturing Glow Worms. Many people try and fail, as this is much more difficult than capturing the night sky- Between our hands on lessons and exclusive access to private tunnels that have never been captured before, you will leave this workshop with a deep understanding of long exposure photography, advanced editing techniques, and incredible pictures of this magical phenomenon. We will be staying in dark sky areas near each incredible cave we capture, so there will also be lots of opportunities to capture the Southern Night skies like the Megellanic Clouds and Vela Nebulae Complex as well when the weather cooperates.
